Why this exists
Soft Clipper started as a tool for one person with a backlog of long recordings and no time to cut them. It got sold because everyone who saw it asked for a copy.
What we decided early
Three decisions shaped the product, and all three cost us money on paper.
It runs on your computer. Uploading a two-hour recording to a server and waiting is slower than encoding it locally, and it means someone else holds your footage. Local processing also removes the reason to meter you by the minute.
You pay once. Recurring revenue is better for us and worse for you on a tool you might use twice a month. $49 once, and the app keeps working whether or not we ever hear from you again.
You bring your own AI key. AI analysis has a real per-video cost. We could bury it in a subscription; instead the app uses your own Google Gemini key, which is free for ordinary use. It means one extra setup step and no ongoing bill.
What we are not
Not a cloud platform, not a scheduler, not a social media manager and not a video editor. Soft Clipper does one job: long video in, postable vertical clips out. Anything it does not do is listed openly on the pricing page rather than discovered after purchase.
The company
Soft Clipper is published by Atlantic Ltd Store Limited, registered in the United Kingdom. Support goes to a person, not a ticket queue: info@softclipper.pro.
Where it is going
A browser version is in development for people who are not on Windows. It will be sold separately and will not change anything about the desktop licence you own.
Stop hand-cutting clips
Load a video, get back a set of vertical clips with captions. One payment, yours forever.
